Hi AC, I never had any doubt that your team would make it to world. Unfortunately, we were not so fortunate, BUT, we are a first year team, so we feel lucky to have made it to State on our first attempt. Their were some very good weights for NC Div. II that we didn't expect, so we had a little hope going in that was squashed as soon as the first team up held 1080 "official" weight and almost 1200 before the structure crushed. One of my weight placers got very over excited at that point because he knew there was no hope for us. We actually finished 4th in the "official weight" held, but would have been 3rd in weight held if we hadn't been plagued with weights touching the pole. We had to remove, remove and remove and replace over and over and ran out of time. After that, of course, they let them continue to see how much unofficially we could hold, and that would have been a 3rd high weight held (still wouldn't have made it to World). Anyway, it was a pretty good experience for us and we learned a lot. We expect to see everyone at Worlds NEXT YEAR! Good Luck to everyone moving on!!
