Man, do I feel LOST! Just found this discussion board and realized that I am WAY BEHIND on everything. I somehow or another got roped into leading a group of 6th graders (ALL FIRST TIMERS to OM), and me having never even seen balsa wood before and I am UNTECHNICAL as they come....Just got the problem and information a couple of weeks ago, and have only had 3 meetings. Whew! I feel very overwhelmed. All the kids have been doing a lot of research on the internet to try and learn as much as they can, but my main goal for this first time is just not to let the kids be embarrased. I also am so confused by the "style" presentation piece, as I thought we were not having to do anything artistic, but it sounds like we do a skit and everything. I feel like a floundering fish. If anyone has any helpful non "OA" type of suggestions for us, I would love to hear them.
