So NJ had there regional competition this weekend as well. Only 1 region in the garden state. However, 6 teams comepeted in division 3. Brought one of my Loophole structures to competition jsut thinking id give it a shot. Turned out that the weigh in judges were fine with it. ANother team (team b) had a similar loophole idea and was also accepted. everybody crushed and we ended up in first with 630lbs. Towards the end of the day, the weigh in judges realized that team Bs solution could no possibly fulfill the heigh requirments, mostly due to the measuring devices that allowed them to do so. But what was done was done and they allowed a 5th team to move on to States, instead of the original 4. At states we'll see if our loop hole will still work. What i heard from my coach was that there will be new measuring devices made. And my team will also be investing in anti-fog safety goggles (we practically placed weights blindly...mostly be feel), and hoping the humidity isnt over 65 like it was yesterday.
